The emphasis is that the club be simple in structure, be free of the constraints and obligations of service clubs, involve members at a minimal cost. The club seeks to provide fellowship, friendship and fun.
Monthly meetings usually will include a guest speaker, a short business meeting with reports and updates, and a coffee break that allows for social time.
Events have club members visiting a variety of places and participating in activities. Arising out of their membership activities there is a self-generating goodwill, a sense of belonging, a diverse background of interests.
Activities are organized by club members. Examples of past activities include theatre, wine tours, Thousand Island boat tours and Sun Tech greenhouse and other local and nearby points of interest. The members themselves decide on the activities they choose to hold and the activities they choose to participate in.
